Target Audince

My trailer is based at a C1, C2 & D social grade, this is because A & B would steriotypically not watch horror films a they would watch films that were more culture based like french films. I did not include those classified as  E as this is prodominantly pensioners who again steriotypically would not watch horror films, they are more likely to watch classical films. Which is why i chose C1, C2 & D as i think this is the most likely social grade to watch a horror films, so my trailer would be most appealing to them

This trailer is a 18+ as even thought the trailer does not contain much gore or violence the film will and the trailer imply's violence so it is best to have it rated as an 18. This trailer is aimed at people aged 18-35 as i think this would appeal more to a younger audience tho this may appeal to someone who is older as if the liked horror movies when the were younger they will probably still like them when there in there 50's. 

This trailer is aimed at both males and females as horror moves dont seem to be marketed at one paticular gender where as the likes of romantic films may be marketed at females and action films aimed at males. This doesnt seem to be an issue when it omes to marketing horror films. The aim of a horror film is to create fear which can effect bath males and females equally. 

The trailer is aimed at people who like to spend there money on going to the cinema and like to keep up to date with and watch the newest releases. This is because marketing the trailer who go to the cinema often is going to get your ratings up and will lead to you making a profit as they would be more likely to see your film after watching the trailer than someone who rarely goes to the cinema. 

You do not need to have a high education level in order to understand what is going on in the film, therefore making it more accessible to every social class. Where as the likes of a French film with English subtitles could make a working class person feel cut off as they may not understand whats going on in the film. Horror films font do this and can appeal to everyone regardless of there education level.

The preferred reading of my trailer is that you see that animal testing is wrong as it gives false results which resulted in a virus outbreak in humans. Also you will feel that the zombies are evil and need to be wiped out this will create a tense and dramatic atmosphere resulting in the audience feeling fear.

The negotiated reading of my trailer is that you see that animal testing is wrong but you believe the zombies are misunderstood, and should be accepted rather than destroyed. Wanting to see what will happen to the zombies will create a tense and dramatic atmosphere which may result in some of the audience feeling fear

The oppositional reading of my trailer is that animal testing had nothing to do with it and the zombies are just misunderstood and should have rights and be accepted into society as its not there fault they have been infected. This will create a tense and dramatic atmosphere as you will be wanting to no if the zombies get accepted, this could also lead to fear that the zombies will be wiped out

This film could be seen as a diversion as it allows you to escape everyday life and escape into a morbid and forbidden world that is seen as socially unacceptable. Watching a film like this can help you to forget about and escape any problems you may be having in life.
