How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

I think that the combination of my main task and my ancillary texts is very effective as you can clearly see that all of these products are connected. The genre is reinforced throughout all of these products as you can clearly see that this is a horror film as all of these have a creep feel which instills fear in the audience. Comedy is shown throught the style of font on the poster, as well as throught the main sell line on the magazine. Comedy is shown within the trailer as when the zombies walk/attack it is quite comedic. The woman who gets attacked in the woods can be seen laughing this is intended as she thinks this is some kind of a joke until all of the zombies force her to the ground, the zombies can also be seen slightly smiling as they are copying the expression on the woman's face so she does not run away in fear. The woman falls onto a blanket when she is forced to the floor as before the zombies approach she is seen relaxing in the woods on the blanket. I think these elements successfully add to the comic effect of the trailer. The song sweet dreams by Marilyn Manson which is used in the trailer helps to create a creepy aura which reinforces that this is a horror film. The zombie theme is reinforced throughout this product which helps the audience know that these are all connected. All of these products give the audience an incite into the plot of the film without giving too much away. They all intrigue the audiences curiosity which makes them want to find out more which will make them want to buy the magazine and make them want to go and see the film. The use of the surgeon in all three products helps the audience to recognize that these products are connected and tht the surgeon plays an important role within the movie. Overall i think that my product works well together and has a powerful impact as they all reinforce the genre and theme.
