Inspirational Posters

A simple image has a powerful impact as it is easy on the eye which draws the viewers attention. I will use a simple image on my film poster as it looks more professional to use a drematic yet simplistic image, rather than overload the poster with a complicated image.

Straight away you can tell what genra the film is, through the use of the colours as they are dull and bleak. The imageis in a cemetary which is commonly featured in horror films. The rotten arm comming up from the grave suggests that the dead are comming back to life which may cause the audience to feel frightened, which is the reaction you want to a horro film. The caption 'D-day is comming' also helps to reinforce the the fear, the fact that the title of yhr film is in redalso reinforces the genra, as the colour red has connotations with blood and murder, which is often associated with the horro genra.

I like this poster as the film is about zombies and is shown through a hand held camera just as my trailer is. The poster clearly states how the film is set out as it shows a man holding a hand held camera which suggests that the film will be shown through documenting first hand experiences of the main characters. The fact that his cap has 'RIP' on it suggests that he is dead, also the fact that his eye is white also suggests that he is amoung the living dead & you can see more of the walking dead in the background. The fact that this poster is in black and white with the  characters being made cartoon like, this has a powerful effect and reinforces that the genra of the film is horror. The fact that the title of the film and the lense of the camera is in red helps to reinforce the genra as the colour red has conotations to blood and murder.
